Step1 – Meet the minimum necessities which are :

• At least twenty-one years of age
• You have not been found guilty of a crime, are a fugitive, user of past user of ‘controlled substances’, non legal alien, are a psychological patient, have an other than honorable discharge, or have a court restraining order.
• Hasn’t violated any federal firearms law or regulation
• Has not willfully withheld or did not divulge needed info or made false statements in the application
• Has a place of business or a  home that is suitable to conduct business

Step two – Get the right Forms you’ll need to complete you FFL license application ATF ( Form7 ).

This form isn’t available online from the BATFE site. To get the FFL license application with the right fingerprint cards, either go to the distributing center Order Form or call the center at 703-455-7801 and request a packet.

The packet will be dispatched to you through U.S. Mail.

Step three – Submit your application.

According to the NRA report you have to submit to the BATFE regional office the suitable form ( ATF form seven ), fee, picture, and fingerprints.

You can send the finished FFL license application packet to BATFE at P.O. Box 2994, Atlanta, GA or call them 404-417-2750 with your questions.

The BATFE has sixty days to confirm or deny your FFL application depending on if you meet the federal firearms license requirements or not.
